We quit our jobs in Australia, spent 6 months backpacking around South-East Asia, before settling down in Phnom Penh, Cambodia to work in for NGOs. Along the way we have spent time seeing the sights, swimming in oceans and rivers, catching all many of dodgy local transport and eating amazing food in Nepal, Singapore, Thailand, Laos and Vietnam.

As we settle into expat life in Cambodia, our travel blog wil lfocus much more on what its like to live in the lovely city of Phnom Penh. We hope to give an inside look at what its like to live here – the pros and cons, and how much it costs. Expect reviews of what to do, where to eat, and maybe even some recipes as we try to recreate our favourite Khmer dishes in our kitchen.

We hope this travel blog gives an insight into travelling in the south east asian region.  We aim to show what to do (and what not to do), where to go and why. We also hope the blog can help with travel tips.  For example: what to be wary of when travelling by train in Vietnam, which Thailand beaches are the best, what time of year to visit Laos, how much things cost in Cambodia.
