We decided to spoil ourselves on Christmas day (also Ryan’s 30th birthday) and take a hot air balloon ride over the jaw dropping landscape in Cappadocia, Turkey.

We were staying in a cave hotel in the town of Goreme, and despite temperatures being well below zero, it was the perfect day to fly. Quietly floating in a balloon above the bizarre formations of limestone and volcanic rock was something we will never forget. It’s not cheap – but its definitely worth it.
